Description

TPA (tissue polypeptide antigen) levels are elevated in many cancers and inflammatory conditions, including lung, breast, colorectal and bladder cancer, inflammatory conditions, and benign changes in the lungs, liver and genitourinary system. TPA is a marker with low sensitivity and organ specificity, which limits its use at certain stages of cancer diagnosis.
