The Anti TPO (thyroid peroxidase antibodies) blood test is usually performed alongside the anti TG test and when previous TSH, FT3, FT4 results are concerning. Indications for measuring anti TPO antibody levels include symptoms suggesting an underactive thyroid, as well as conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis or pernicious anaemia.
