Opis produktu

Beta hCG, or human chorionic gonadotrophin, is a hormone produced in large amounts shortly after fertilisation, so measuring its concentration is recommended as a primary test when pregnancy is suspected. The best time to perform the test is around the expected period. Once pregnancy is confirmed, this test is performed in the first trimester to assess its progression.

Progesterone is a female sex hormone secreted by the ovaries and, during pregnancy, produced by the corpus luteum and placenta. Measuring progesterone provides important information about ovulation. The hormone prepares the uterine lining for implantation of the embryo and subsequently maintains pregnancy. If fertilisation does not occur, its concentration falls and menstruation begins.
