{"id":69479,"date":"2015-09-28T19:17:12","date_gmt":"2015-09-28T17:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/?p=69479"},"modified":"2026-10-25T01:35:31","modified_gmt":"2026-10-24T23:35:31","slug":"preparing-for-stool-sample-collection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/en\/preparing-for-stool-sample-collection\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing for the test \u2013 Stool sample collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>How should you prepare to collect a stool swab?<\/h1>\n<p>Before you start collecting samples, buy 3 sterile stool swabs from your nearest pharmacy ( for SS carrier testing \/sanitary and epidemiological health booklet\/) or 1 container for a stool culture, general stool examination, testing for blood, parasitological examination (parasites) or testing for Clostridium difficile.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Stool swabs<\/strong><\/em> for SS carrier testing should be collected over 3 consecutive days (one stool swab each day).<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to collect a stool swab:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To collect a stool swab, insert a sterile swab into a small piece of stool and rotate it several times to collect the material. Place the swab in the transport medium included in the kit.<\/p>\n<p>For a correctly collected stool swab, <u>a trace of stool must be visible on the swab tip<\/u>. Clearly label the collected sample with the first name and surname of the person being tested.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We accept samples on swabs with transport medium<\/li>\n<li>The patient should deliver three stool samples over 3 consecutive days (1 sample-1 day). <u>The laboratory does not accept three, or even two, samples delivered on the same day for testing. <\/u><\/li>\n<li>The patient may submit a stool sample collected on the evening before the laboratory visit and store it in the fridge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Samples can only be accepted from Monday to Wednesday (Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday)!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>On the day of the test, remember:<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow the same procedure as when collecting a sample for microbiological and analytical tests (empty your bladder completely and pass stool into a container prepared beforehand).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deliver the prepared sample to the collection point selected at the time of purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/en\/our-collection-points\/\">during its opening hours<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Collect samples in the same way for <strong>the next two days<\/strong> and deliver each sample to us as it is collected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/en\/produkt\/helicobacter-pylori-stool-laboratory-test\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9340 aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sklep_badamysie-300x99.jpg\" alt=\"BadamySie.pl shop\" width=\"300\" height=\"99\" srcset=\"https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sklep_badamysie-300x99.jpg 300w, https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sklep_badamysie-360x119.jpg 360w, https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sklep_badamysie-262x86.jpg 262w, https:\/\/badamysie.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sklep_badamysie.jpg 373w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How should you prepare to collect a stool swab?
